Is your garage door opener giving you fits?

Garage door openers have advanced significantly, now offering smartphone controls, battery backups, and energy efficiency. Loves Garage Door can help you find the perfect high-tech fit for your family.

How does it work? A remote sends a radio signal to the opener’s built-in receiver, triggering a motor to lift the door.

Choosing a Garage Door Opener

An opener allows you to easily enter your garage from the comfort of your car. When choosing the best opener for your particular circumstance, the door weight is a major factor in terms of the horsepower required (HP) to open or close your door.

Screw Drive Openers

A screw drive opener utilizes a motor that turns a screw that opens and closes the garage door. Screw driven openers are easier to maintain as they don’t have many moving parts.

Chain Driven Openers

A sprocket is driven by a gear that moves the chain that opens and closes the door. A chain driven opener is very strong; however, it can be noisy.

Belt Driven Openers

Belt driven openers are by far the quietest in comparison to the screw or chain driven openers. They are however, slightly more expensive.

How long do garage door openers last?

On average garage door openers last between 10 and 15 years. Of course keeping with maintenance will help increase the lifespan.

At Loves Garage Doors we offer annual maintenance to ensure that your garage door is in working order, saving you the cost of premature repair or replacement.
